The Hawthorns Eastbourne Finalists in Eastbourne Business Awards
The team at The Hawthorns Eastbourne were delighted to hear they have been shortlisted in not one but three categories for this year’s Eastbourne Business Awards – for Customer Service, Hospitality, Tourism & Leisure, plus Green Business.
Former hotelier, Ian Turnbull, was appointed as our General Manager in 2016 to lead on new strategies and to move The Hawthorns community into a more professional hospitality led environment.
Ian commented, “To be nominated amongst many other strong businesses in the Eastbourne area is acknowledgement for the work that the team have achieved here in improving our resident services, so they are already winners in my view; anything else on the day will be a bonus.”
The achievements have already been independently recognised with the Hospitality Assured Award from the Institute of Hospitality, leading the way in the retirement sector and giving them the confidence to enter the 2018 Eastbourne Business Awards.
The prestigious awards ceremony is being held at the Grand Hotel Eastbourne on Friday 2nd November 2018, and we wish all the Hawthorns team the very best of luck!
