Best Foot Forward – Resident Jean Tackles 10,000 steps for Parkinson’s Charity

Jean Flynn, who resides at the Hawthorns Clevedon, recently completed her 10,000-step challenge in honour of Parkinson’s Charity.

Jean, 83, who was sadly diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2017, departed for her challenge from the Hawthorns around 9:45 am on Sunday and managed to make it all the way to the Clevedon Pier. Surrounded by friends and supporters along the way, Jean tackled difficult weather conditions, still, with a smile on her face.

Customer Services Manager, Aggie Jasinski, commented, “It was not an easy task for Jean, especially towards the end in the heavy rain and wind, but she completed it. We are all very proud of Jean.”

In the end, Jean managed to raise an incredible £1, 530.50 for her efforts.
