Why buy when you can rent

“I really like the comfort and lack of regimentation and friendliness of the management and staff alike.”

Charities offered free showcasing opportunity

CHARITIES are being offered the opportunity to showcase their cause and raise funds at the same time courtesy the award winning Essex retirement facility, The Hawthorns at Meadow Park. All charities big or small, particularly local ones, are invited to attend a ‘charity awareness’ day at the development on Sunday March 27.

Marie Marshall, Manager at The Hawthorns, where residents are offered a unique retirement lifestyle covered by one simple, all-inclusive monthly rental, said: "These are challenging times for charities. As an integral part of the local community, we want to do everything we can to help organisations that do so much to help others."

"We have the room in our spacious entrance hall for ten charities to set up a stall with information and goods for sale and we hope as many people as possible will pay us a visit to find out more about the work of the charities and perhaps help them a little with their fundraising."

The Hawthorns has hosted a number of charitable functions in the past year and is now where the local Farleigh Hospice craft group meets every month.

Any charity which would like to have a presence at the Charity Awareness Day from 10.30am-4pm can contact Geraldine Channon, Activities Co-ordinator at The Hawthorns, on 01376 335500 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
