The Hawthorns Braintree has celebrated creativity and festive spirit through its annual Christmas card competition, inviting entries from three local schools.
A total of 54 colourful and imaginative designs were submitted, each showcasing the effort and talent of local children. The artwork was displayed in the Atrium at the Hawthorns, where residents enjoyed viewing the entries and voting for their favourites.
From the top three designs, the final winner was chosen by General Managers Paul and Sandra Tripney. The Hawthorns chose Marguerite Ayris‑Pullar from Great Bradfords Junior School as this year’s winner.
Marguerite was presented with a £25 voucher, while her school received a £250 donation to support upcoming projects in 2026. Headteacher Justin Wrench expressed his gratitude, noting how valuable the contribution will be for the school community.
Michaela Saunders, Client Liaison Manager at the Hawthorns Braintree, said, “We are proud to support our local schools and delighted to see such creativity from their pupils. This competition brings joy to our residents and strengthens our community connections.”
