Festive Fun and Friendly Competition at the Falcons Bowling Club Gala

The Falcons Bowling Club in Chelmsford brought plenty of festive cheer to its annual Gala Lunch in December, and the Hawthorns Braintree team were delighted to be part of the celebrations. The day began with a lively morning of competitions, followed by an afternoon filled with prize giving, laughter and a wonderful sense of community.

Representing the Hawthorns was Client Liaison Manager, Michaela Saunders, who had the enjoyable, although not easy, task of judging the popular best Christmas dressed bowler competition. With so many members embracing the festive theme, choosing a winner was a real challenge. From sparkling jumpers to full Christmas costumes, the creativity on display was impressive.

After careful consideration, Sheilagh Pithers was chosen as the winner and received a beautifully filled hamper provided by the Hawthorns. The two runners up, Deborah Monk and Lindsey Cornish, were each presented with a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate their fantastic efforts.

This Gala event is one of many activities taking place as part of the growing partnership with the Falcons Bowling and Social Club. The club is a vibrant part of the Chelmsford community, offering indoor and outdoor rinks along with a busy social calendar that brings people together through friendly competition and shared enjoyment.

At the Hawthorns, bowls is also a much loved activity. Many residents enjoy using the carpet bowls facility, finding it a great way to stay active, engaged and connected with others.
