What Can You Expect From our East Sussex Retirement Village?

The community within our Eastbourne retirement village is like no other. You have the opportunity to take part in numerous groups and activities or to indulge in other on-site amenities such as the library, cinema room, or beauty salon.

We hold frequent coffee mornings in aid of local charities, along with race and casino nights, and concerts that range from ukulele groups, saxophonists, harpists, or local choirs. Everyone is encouraged to get involved as much or as little as they wish.

Ian Turnbull

General Manager

I am originally from a hospitality background, having been in hotel management for over 30 years in various hotels throughout the UK, with over 10 years spent as Managing Director of one of the leading and well-established hotels in Eastbourne before joining The Hawthorns.

I joined The Hawthorns Eastbourne originally in 2016 when Avery was looking for a seasoned Hotel Manager to enhance the experience of living in an independent retirement living community.

I enjoy working with a great team of people who strive to make retirement living the best we can for the people who live with us
