Our one or two-bedroom apartments are each freshly decorated prior to residents moving in and include shower rooms, kitchenettes, carpets, curtains, TV, telephone and internet points, your own central heating controls, an integrated alarm system, and a 24-hour on-call manager.

There is a huge variety of activities and amenities for residents to enjoy, from reading in the library to outings to the local area. Friends and family are always welcome, with the option of guest bedrooms should they require an overnight stay.

Steven Bryant

General Manager

I have worked in the retirement living sector for over 13 years having joined The Hawthorns Clevedon in 2012 as Assistant Manager. I received promotion to General Manager in 2021 leading to further promotion to Senior General Manager in 2023, giving me the added responsibility of overseeing our other Hawthorns communities in Eastbourne, Braintree and Northampton.

My background is in customer service, and since joining The Hawthorns, have enjoyed creating welcoming environments where people can embrace a vibrant and fulfilling lifestyle.
Our focus as a group is on community, wellbeing, and quality of life, with all residents and visitors treated with respect.
I am proud to lead all our dedicated teams who strive to ensure our residents feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife and dogs and exploring the countryside in our motorhome.

Alison Bryant

General Manager

I have worked for The Hawthorns for over 26 years, originally in Eastbourne when it opened, until I joined The Hawthorns, Clevedon in 2012 as Assistant Manager, leading to promotion to General Manager in 2021.

Originally from Kent, I’ve spent most of my career with The Hawthorns encouraging our residents to live independently, whilst providing a balance of comfort, freedom, and social connection. Our motto of ‘We work in your home’ is embedded into our staff culture to ensure everyone is treated with respect and dignity. At The Hawthorns Clevedon, I’m proud to lead a dedicated and hardworking team who go above and beyond to ensure our residents feel at home from the moment they arrive.

Our focus is on community, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking our two dogs and exploring the rest of the country with trips away in our motorhome.
